This site was created in October 2008 by David Sharp, then a journalist and trade-union activist with AFP.
Its aim at the time was to host the "SOS-AFP" petition, drafted and endorsed by the six trade unions present at the agency.
In 2009 an enhanced version of the site was designed and installed by Legendre Production, to whom thanks are due.
The petition came to an end in April 2012, but the underlying conflicts about the role and the statutes of Agence France-Presse still exist.
The site, restructured and relaunched in January 2014, contains key documents about those conflicts, both past and present.
